The first floor of the house is accessible via wide entrance steps which rise to a covered veranda, perfect for warm summer nights and a glass of wine while you enjoy the panoramic views of the limestone cliffs of the River Lot Valley. Or you can enjoy family meals and BBQs on the garden-level terrace. Ian and Caroline live near Winchester in the UK and spend as much time as they can in France. When they first met, one of their very first conversations was centred on a dream of having a home in France. In October 2023 that became a reality. They are truly grateful for the support and love of family and friends.

‘This is our dream come true, we would like you to love our home in France and this area as much as we do. Please be part of our journey’.

Cajarc with its medieval town centre and local shops, is less than 10 minutes drive, where you can enjoy fine food and gourmet moments in its highly regarded restaurants, each very individual and waiting to be discovered or buy fresh produce from its weekly markets. In late July, your visit may coincide with Africajarc, a four-day celebration of African music, dance, cinema and theatre. The festival is one of the most popular in France.
Limogne-en-Quercy offers weekly markets where you can find its famous truffles and includes a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants; just east of Limogne, is a beautiful nature reserve with a lake, hiking trails and fishing.
St-Cirq-Lapopie, is a jewel among France’s ‘most beautiful villages’ and offers a bewildering array of artisan gift shops, cafés and impossibly pretty houses.
